Thanks Dave Zimberoff. for purchasing my art. We bought 24 bicycles for the World Bicycle Relief. BIG UP to NUTCASE for putting this together!
the artist Ray Moore (ray-moore) was working on a big canvas in one of the courtyards of Eurobike, on commission from the creative & passionate people of Nutcase, who’d gotten him and a few others to do what they do but with a helmet shell as the medium. I stopped and watched for probably too long—I was busy, had many people to meet and a job to do, a career to look after. Ray came and said hi after a bit, and we talked about what you talk about with artists and cyclists, and I tried not to introduce myself because the moment seemed better than business, but eventually I had to, and Ray figured I wanted an interview. I didn’t know how to tell him that all I wanted was a conversation about bicycles and art, about cycling and creating, and I never was really able to. At every trade show, you find a few things to hold onto, some precious talisman of the real reason we get out there. Ray wasn’t the only one, but he was one.
